Averaged description of elastic waves |

| Abstract: | We use the method of moments in order to describe elastic waves. It is shown that for transverse waves, there takes place a time-polynomial representation with a finite number of terms in the linear and quadratic spatial moments of displacements and some derivatives of displacements in space. |
