| Abstract: | A mild and efficient method for the synthesis of 3‐arylnaphtho2,3‐f]quinoline‐1,2‐dicarboxylate derivatives via Povarov reaction of aromatic aldehyde, anthracen‐2‐amine, and but‐2‐ynedioate is described using Yb(OTf)3 as catalyst. The features of this procedure are mild reaction conditions, good yields, and operational simplicity. |
