| Abstract: | This article consists of three parts. The first part gives, briefly an account of the history and present situations of statistics. It is illustrated that statistical analyses for high-dimensional, dependent and incomplete data sets are frequently encountered in modern sciences, technology, sociology and economy. The second part outlines the achievements of Chinese statisticians. In the last part personal opinions for the research trends in this area are presented. |
