| Abstract: | An excess known amount of standard bismuth nitrate solution was added in such a titration. The solution was back-titrated with a standard solution of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate(EDTA) at pH 1.10 to 2.20 using xylenol orange(XO) as an indicator Most common ions do not interfere with the titration. This method has been applied to the determination of nitrilotriacetic acid(NTA) in the solution for removing H_2S with satisfactory results. |
