Affiliation: | Peter Kahn received his PhD in Neural Networks from Imperial College London in 1992. He is a lecturer in Mathematics at Liverpool Hope University College and has research interests in undergraduate mathematics education Johnston Anderson, Teaching Mathematics and its Applications, vol. 15, no. 3, September 1996 Dr Keith Austin lectures in Pure Mathematics at the University of Sheffield. His research interest is in helping children and undergraduates to appreciate mathematical proof Tony Barnard teaches undergraduate courses in abstract algebra, number theory and real analysis. His interests are in commutative Noetherian rings and the psychology of mathematics education Dr Janet Jagger is a Senior Lecturer in Mathematics at Trinity and All Saints University College and runs courses in a variety of mathematical topics, both pure and mechanics, and also teaches mathematics education to those students training to be Secondary teachers Amanda Chetwynd received her PhD in Graph Theory from the Open University in 1984. After working as a postdoctoral student in Stockholm she came to work at Lancaster University where she is now a Senior Lecturer in Statistics. Her research interests are in combinatorics and spatial statistics applied to medical problems |
