Abstract: | Reactions with derivatives of γ-chloroacetoacetic acid Ethyl γ-chloroacetoacetate reacts with ammonia to give ethyl β-amino-γ-chloro-crotonate; with aniline, however, β-anilino-crotonic acid γ-lactone is formed. The reaction of ethyl α-cyano-γ-chloro-acetoacetate with arylamines yields 1-aryl-2-amino-3-ethoxycarbonyl-pyrrolin-4-ones. |
