Efficient Stereoselective Synthesis of C,O,S,N-Glycosides in High Yield

The Koenig-Knorr method is still the most useful method for the synthesis of glycosides thoughpartly inherent disadvantages of this method could not be overcome. Recently Schmidt et al. reportedthat glycosyl trichloroacetimidates can be used to synthesize C, O and S-glycosides stereoselectively inhigh yield under mild reaction conditions.
