A self-fabricated detector for magnetic fields for the use of exploring and demonstrative experiments

The principle,parts selection,fabrication,adjustment and debugging,operations and discussions concerned with the self fabricated detector for magnetic fields designed and fabricated by the author are reported.The detector can easily determine the properties and distributions of magnetic fields especially in the narrow space.It can be fabricated not only by teachers as a demonstrative instrument but also by university students in their exploring experiments.Its cost is extremely low because all the parts in the design are found from the instruments out of use.It can be employed in quantitative measurements if the cost is not in mind,its design is optimized,the parts are carefully selected,and the scale of the detector is accurately verified.
