Abstract: | A new binuclear copper(II) compound [(CuL)2(Tpha)](ClO4)2 · 4H2O (I), where L = 1,3,6,9,11,14-hexaazatricyclo[12.2.1.16,9]octadecane, Tpha = terephthalate dianion, has been constructed and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. Crystal analysis denotes that complex I crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 11.115(2), b = 13.185(3), c = 16.184(3) Å and β = 105.68(3)°. Magnetic measurements confirm that I present an antiferromagnetic interaction between the paramagnetic ions. |
