Synthesis and properties of sym-triazines. 10 Synthesis of 2,4-diamino-sym-triazines containing a sterically hindered phenol substituent

Condensation of N-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylphenyl)biguanide with esters in the presence of catalytic amounts of sodium ethylate gives 2-amino-4-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylanilino)-6-substituted sym-triazines.
