Abstract: | The self-diffusion coefficients of water in active carbon (AC) having relatively wide micropores increase in direct proportion to the degree of filling. The self-diffusion coefficients D of adsorbed C6H6, C6F6, C6H12, and H2O molecules at 298 K do not depend on the size of the molecules and are larger, the greater the mobility of the molecules in the free liquids. The self-diffusion activation energy of the adsorbed molecules varies in the order: H2O>C6F6> C6H12 C6H14. C6H14. For H2O and C6H6 the activation energy increases as the characteristic size of the micropores of the AC increases.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 9, pp. 1949–1951, September, 1989. |
