Abstract:
The reaction of Te powder, NaBH4 and Me2N(CH2)3Cl·HCl provided the title compound [H3BNMe2(CH2)3]2Te ( 1 ), whose selective chlorination with SO2Cl2 lead to the formation of [ClH2BNMe2(CH2)3]2TeCl2 ( 2 ) and [Cl3BNMe2(CH2)3]2TeCl2 ( 3 ), respectively. Compounds 1 – 3 were characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and single crystal X‐ray diffraction.
