Abstract:Fluid-solid coupling mechanics is an interdisciplinary branch with various different formulations in the academic circles. According to the normal formulations and the understandings in a narrow sense, the main task of fluid-solid coupling mechanics is to study the dynamic properties of the interaction of fluid and solid elasticity. Turbomachinery provides an important engineering background to the fluid-solid coupling mechanics. The research on fluid-solid coupling of turbomachinery is also a major part of this branch. In this paper, on the basis of the authors' research work and the previous international symposiums in this field, a review is made from the point view of unsteady pneumatics to the four problems, i.e., dynamic response from interaction between rotor and stator, aerodynamics stability for compression system, numerical simulation of unsteady flow field in turbomachinery, and experiments regarding fan/compressor stall flutter on transonic compressor test rig.
