| Abstract: | The expressions of the efficiency and the power ratio between gas and steam turbine of a full fired combined cycle are derived based on the Comparison Method proposed by the author3] for evaluating the performance of complex cycles. They are very simple and comprehensive and suitable for engineering estimation. In addition, a simple criterion equation is given to judge the advantage of improving the steam power plant by fully fired combined cycle from the point of view of total fuel expenses. |
