| Abstract: | This paper establishes a mathematical model to study the long behavior of a single‐species population living in a polluted environment. In this paper, we suppose that pollution tax is imposed on toxicant emitters if their emission crosses the permissible limit, limit up to which there is no harm to the population. Some sufficient conditions for the persistence of the population are obtained. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. |
