Abstract:Based on the principle of statistical mechanics and thermodynamics, both the new virial EOS of saturated vapor and saturated liquid of the common refrigerants are proposed in this paper. By using the principle of corresponding states, a new generalized reduced virial EOS is also proposed. In order to cope with the effective analysis to the refrigerant-substitute application, an exclusive virial EOS for R12, R152a, and R22 is also presented. Results computed from all of the proposed equations agree well with experimental and literatured data. It is shown that the presented equations are not only simple in form and convenient to practice, but also hold for wide engineering application with high accuracy.
