Measurement of the spindependent relative conversion coefficients in α-Fe and α-Fe2O3

The relative differences δ _ns (n=1, 2, 3) of the spindependent conversion coefficients were measured for α-Fe and α=Fe₂O₃. In contrast to theoretical predictions of δ_1s≃−10⁻⁵ we found δ_1s≃−1.0(4)x10⁻² for both α-Fe and α-Fe₂O₃. As a possible source for this difference we consider a dynamic coupling with the atomic spin during the conversion process.
