| Abstract: | Small perturbations in an otherwise uniform flow striking an aerofoil produce a scattered field of pressure and velocity fluctuations. Formulae are deduced which permit the calculation of this scattered field for an arbitrary incident disturbance. The method is applied to the case when the incident disturbance is a sound wave. |
