| Abstract: | Certain problems concerning the control of processes described by pseudohyperbolic-type equations are studied. Inequalities
in negative norms are obtained. These inequalities imply the existence and uniqueness of the generalized solution of a boundary-value
problem with right-hand sides belonging to a negative space, which makes it possible to consider the optimal problem in the
class of generalized effects. The existence of the optimal control is proved. Some examples of pulse optimal control problems
