Palladium(II) complexes of ketimines

Summary New Pd^II complexes of biologically active ketimines containing the donor set have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight determinations and conductivity measurements. The i.r. and ¹H-n.m.r. spectra indicate a square planar structure for the complexes in which the ligand is monobasic bidentate with oxygen and azomethine nitrogen coordinating sites. Representative ketimines and their respective metal complexes were found to exhibit antimicrobial properties.Author to whom all correspondence should be directed.
