Abstract: | In this study various Au/SnOx-SiO2 catalysts were prepared and tested in CO oxidation. It was found that the addition of tin oxide onto silica increased significantly the activity of Au/SiO2 catalysts due to the alteration of the nanoenvironment of gold, which was evidenced by XPS and FTIR measurements. |
