Reactions of 5-cyano-1,4,6,9-trioxathia-5-phosphaspiro[4,4]nonanes with compounds containing a labile hydrogen atom

All the investigated reactions of 5-cyano-1,4,6,9-trioxathia-5-phosphaspiro[4,4]nonanes with compounds containing a labile hydrogen atom proceed with the loss of HCN, predominant opening of the oxathiophospholane ring, and formation of 2-oxo-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane derivatives.A.
