Abstract:Covellite CuS hexagonal nanoplatelets were prepared by a simple hydrothermal process at mild temperature,using sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS)as an assisting reagent.The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and UV-vis absorption spectroscopy.An energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDS)was used to analyze the elementary compositions of the intermediate products.A possible formation mechanism of hexagonal nanoplatelets is discussed.using TEM observations.
