| Abstract: | This paper reports the analysis of catechol product by HPLC using a silicagel column. With hexane-isopropanol-acetic acid as mobile phase and by gradient elution method,the o-, m-, p- dihydroxybenzene isomers, phenol and p-benzoquinone can be separated fairlywell- The recovery of catechol is higher than 98%, the relative standard deviation is lessthan 0. 2%, and the detection limit of impurities is 10 mg/L. |
