| Abstract: | A few examples of specifically-fabricated auxetic polymers are briefly introduced,as are worldwide research activities on mechanisms that lead to auxetic behaviour of certain types of polymers,i.e.,polymer auxeticity.Possible areas of application for auxetic polymers are pointed out and a perspective of their future is given. |
