| Abstract: | During the attempted synthesis of bisdipyrromethane from acid-catalyzed condensation of acetylacetone with pyrrole, an unexpected ring annulation led to the formation of 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolizine-bridged bipyrrole. |
