Abstract: | This paper presents a funnel external potential model to investigatedynamic properties of ultracold Bose gas. By using variationalmethod, we obtain the ground-state energy and density properties ofultracold Bose atoms. The results show that the ultracold Bose gasconfined in a funnel potential experiences the transition fromthree-dimensional regime to quasi-one-dimensional regime in a smallaspect ratio, and undergoes fermionization process as the aspectratio increases. |
