Abstract:
A two-beam laser triangulation method has been proposed to measure the position of a moving object. The method uses two parallel laser beams to judge the moving direction of an object, allowing us to track it and measure its positions. An uncertainty of 0.2 mm for a measurement range of 50 mm has been obtained. This tracking measurement capability is useful in the calibration of the position of a moving robot arm.
