Abstract:
The solubilities of the ternary systems Cu(NO3)2–Ca(NO3)2–H2O and Cu(NO3)2–Mg(NO3)2–H2O at 25°C were calculated from the solubility data for the binary systems by using the Pitzer equations. The calculated solubility isotherms were confirmed experimentally. The activity coefficients of the components, the osmotic coefficient, and the activity of water were calculated from the experimental isotherms.
