| Abstract: | Summary The adsorbability of metalhalogenocomplexes of 18 elements from hydrochloric or hydrobromic acid solutions on activated carbon, Amberlite XAD-4 and XAD-7 resins was examined. Only few of the complexes are selectively adsorbed with high adsorption rates. The preconcentrated elements can easily be eluated from the resins by 1 mol/l HCl in acetone and subsequently be determined by AAS. By addition of basic dyes, quaternary ammonium and tetraphenylphosphonium salts the adsorption rates of metallogenocomplexes are generally enhanced. The adsorption behaviour of the complexes is similar to that of corresponding solvent extraction systems.
