| Abstract: | The conformation in the crystalline state of some aliphatic carboxylic acids and their derivatives has been analysed. This analysis, based upon the results of structure determinations by means of X-ray diffraction, seems to support the concept that the conformation of a molecule is governed chiefly by intramolecular interactions. |
