Abstract:The Ml radiation widths to the ground states of the 15.11 MeV levels in 12C and 13C have been determined to be 36 ± 3 eV and 25 ± 7 eV, respectively, by the inelastic scattering of 40 to 65 MeV electrons from a solid target enriched to 58% in 13C and a comparison 12C target. These results are in agreement with the shell model predictions of Cohen and Kurath.
