Abstract:	Conclusions Our results show that pertussis toxin abolished the angiotensin II-induced breakdown of PIP₂ and also the increase in prostaglandin E₂ synthesis in mesangial cells. It is suggested that a guanine nucleotide binding regulatory protein is somehow involved in receptor-mediated activation of phospholipase C in mesangial cells.
