Abstract:A critical review is presented of the literature on the titrimetric determination of quinol. For the standardisation of pure quinol solutions the cerimetric titration procedure can be recommended, but in the presence of various organic contaminants vanadate, hexacyanoferrate(III) plus zinc and dichromate are the best titrants.
