Spectrum of the quasiperiodic noise in NbSe3

An additional fundamental frequency in the quasiperiodic noise generated by NbSe₃ is obtained in a model which assumes the presence of objects which move more slowly than the sliding charge density wave. The objects are driven by their interaction with the charge density wave and the lattice potential. The model is in close agreement with the observations of Richard, Monceau and Renard.
