| Abstract: | The title compound, cerebrosterol, has been synthesized in five steps with 61.5% overall yield and > 99.9% de from 3α, 6α‐dimethoxymethoxyl‐5P‐cholane‐24‐al as a key intermediate, which was prepared from methyl 3α, 6α‐dihydroxy hyodeoxy‐cholanate. |
