Human Genome Project Bring a Challenge and an Opportunity to Analytical Chemistry

A review with 45 references is given on the recent development in analytical chemistry for sequencing DNA, concerning electrophoresis,capillary electrophoresis,mass spectrometry,electrospray ioniza-tion-mass spectrometry, fluorescence spectrometry, resonance ionization spectrometry, and single molecular detection. Two dimension technology and multiple-step sequencing are also described.
