| Abstract: | An amphiphilic
bifunctional initiator with an aromatic group, which is used in free radical interfacial
copolymerization, p-toluoyl(3-carboxypropionyl)sebacoyl diperoxide(MBSD), was synthesized
by the successive condensation of sebacoyl chloride with p-methylperoxybenzoic acid and
monoperoxysuccinic acid under the catalysis of pyridine and further characterized by IR, 1H
NMR, MS, elemental analysis and the analysis of peroxide oxygen content. |
