Statistics of Ignition Processes in ac Plasma Displays

The statistics of the ignition behaviour of discharge cells in ac plasma displays and interaction processes occurring between several ignited cells are described and interpreted with a view to basic problems of gas discharge and solid state physics. For the statistical evaluation of ignition lag values recorded by means of a computer controlled equipment the Laue distribution is used.
