Control of the jet of a pulsed flywheel water cannon

We describe a pulsed water cannon in which the compression of the water occurs as a result of a cam located on a flywheel. We pose and solve the variational problem of optimal control of the spray of the pulsed water cannon. The control is the shape of the cam.
