| Abstract: | Trihexyl(tetradecyl)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate, a phosphonium salt ionic liquid (PSIL) is a particularly effective general reaction media for the Pd-catalyzed carbonylation reaction of iodoarenes and thiols to form thioesters. Recycling of the ionic liquid containing active Pd-catalyst was also demonstrated. |
