Stability of the inviscid plane couette flow in bubbly fluids

Abstract:The aim of this article is to study the stability of shear flows in bubbly fluids. A mathematical model of bubbly fluids is presented. The stability of shear flows is studied by two methods: by using a spectral approach and by solving the initial-value problem. It is proved that the linear velocity profile is stable in the long wave approximation. Communicated by R. Grimshaw
