Abstract:The partition of cobalt (II) between hydrochloric acid solutions and benzene solutions of tri-n-octylamine (TOA) has been investigated under different conditions. The absorption spectra of both the aqueous and organic phases have been examined, and the i.r. spectrum of the organic phase has been studied.
