Catalytic phosphorylation of polyfluoroalkanols

Abstract:Phosphorylation of α-polyfluoroalkylbenzyl alcohols by an excess of phenylphosphonic dichloride in the presence of Mg or CaCl2 as the catalyst givesO-(α-polyfluoroalkylbenzyl) phenylphosphonochloridates (63–79% yield). The reaction proceeds stereoselectivity, and the phosphonochloridates obtained are mixtures of two diastereomers with predominance (approximately by 10%) of one of them. For Part 15, see Ref. 1.
