Vibrations of axially loaded stiffened cylindrical panels with elastic restraints

A method has been developed for analysis of the vibration and buckling of preloaded stiffened cylindrical panels with different boundary conditions along the straight edges, including elastic restraints. In the analysis linear, “smeared” stiffener, Flügge type theory is used. A computer program VIBUPAL has been developed. The method has been verified by comparison with results available for limited cases and very good agreement has been obtained.
