| Abstract: | Tablet "Li Jia Shou" composed of "Ginsenosides" (Ginseng extract,) Paeonia lactiflora,Acanthopanax, Epimedium, Ganoderma lucidum and Vitamin E acetate. The optimum conditionsof TLC analysis of the tablet are reported in this paper. The reproducible, accurate and prec-ise results can be obtained only when the sample is pretreated by a clean-up step and the ch-romatographic parameters are optimized. And it is efficient to apply the "feature spot" in thechromatogram of the crude drugs used in the tablet to identify the herb medicine themselves, incases of lack of chemical reference substances or the active constituents of the tablet raw ma-terials being yet unknown. |
