| Abstract: | Theoretical discussion of the line shape of vibronic resonances in the Rydberg spectrum of naphthalene is presented. The spectrum provides strong evidence for the 1/rij mechanism recently proposed by the author. The results of this work are in disagreement with the work of Jortner and Morris. |
