| Abstract: | Summary The colour reactions of organic substances with AlCl3 in various solvents are compared as well in heterogeneous as in homogeneous phase and the influences of substituents on the colour are investigated.Especially for the colour reactions of aluminium chloride in chloroform, produced by organic substances, there are presented some examples how to make use of this method as an aid for group analysis, for identification, and for comparison of identity.
