Abstract: | ![]() The present work deals with the investigation of the use of synthesized 4A and P1 zeolites in the adsorption of uranium (VI) ions from liquid effluents (with initial concentrations of 100, 85 and 80 mg·L−1). Batch experiments were performed and the effects of temperature, solid–liquid ratio, pH and initial UO22+ ion concentration were studied, and the optimal parameters were determined. The kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of the process as well as the diffusion mechanism have been studied. The obtained results showed that 4A and P1 zeolites are very effective adsorbents. |
