| Abstract: | Diamines bearing a C 2 symmetry have been widely used in asymmetric synthesis. This review summarizes the synthesis and the application of 1,2-diphenyl- 1,2-diaminoethane and its derivatives as chiral auxiliaries, chiral ligands and chiral reagents in asymmetric synthesis. |
